Worst kind of shell?

just wondering what would be the worst shells on a kit you've ever tried or heard?

I guess "worst" is kinda subjective depending on your personal tastes in sound or if you're talking asthetic, durability, etc... I can't say that they're bad drums but from a sound perspective, of all the kits I've played Rocket Shells Carbon Fiber drums are a little bizarre....

Lol, all drums technically are "plywood" but I know what you mean. I would say poplar, it's what the cheapest end kits are made of and they sound like garbage.

You just insulted 99% of the drums out there, because they are all plywood.

Like SGarrett said, out-of-round is no good. Or a drum with a bad bearing edge.

That would rock. It'd completely kill the custom market, but it'd rock none-the-less.
