Perhaps this topic has been mentioned before, but what does Craviotto drums have that warrant a $4500 asking price for a used kit?

Value is in the eye of the beholder... If you can't see, hear or justfy the asking price, then find something else....

Craviatto are well built, sound very good and are out of the price range of average players. But only YOU Can decide if they warrant the price.

They're more than just snare drums. They're works of art by a master craftsman.

Raw Craviotto shells (if you can find them) usually run $300 and up just for plain maple.
Hey Timekeeper,

Do you do anything with VaughnCraft Shell Company?

Regards,

I've used both Vaughns and JTP shells. Both make beautiful shells.

What are the differences in the Vaughns and JTP shells compared to the Keller?

Vaughn and JTP make stave shells using many different types of wood, where Keller shells are plywood made of maple and Birch.
