I've gathered up what I thought were some pretty decent crash cymbals online, so I need your advice on which one you think I should get (keep in mind that I probably won't be actually buying it but getting some ideas instead). I currently don't have a crash cymbal. The closest thing I have is a Paiste PST 3 crash/ride which I don't really like! I would like them to be 16 inches, I thought that would be a good size to start with (and a cheaper one too :D)

Here are the choices:

#1 Zildjian Z Custom Medium Crash Cymbal

#2 Zildjian A Custom Crash Cymbal

#3 Zildjian A Series Medium Crash Cymbal
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ ... sku=441279

#4 Zildjian Z Custom Rock Crash

They all come with a stand and free shipping. I thought these were all pretty good deals, what do you all think?

i like just about anything sabian or paiste better than those choices but if i had to choose one it would be the a custom by far. honestly though, i think aaxs and hhs sound better, as well as paistes signatures. z customs sound horrible to my ears and avedis crashes never did anything for me either, although i would take a set of those over z customs any day. when youre shopping around dont just look at zildjian, hit everything you can find. to be perfectly honest, sabians hhx evolution crash is probably the sweetest sounding one ive ever heard...bright, fast, shimmering, with dark undertones that just make it so much sweeter. zildjian is very traditional and they have their fans but there are others out there that are just as good and better.

I know I choose all Zidjians, but they looked like the best deal. I have been looking at the Sabian AAX and that does look pretty nice. I'll make sure to check out the other ones, thanks for the advice. :D

I play Zildjians and would go for the A series for a more versatile sound. I have Z's and A's and the Z's are very LOUD! I only use them for gigs to cut through the noise. Good luck!

I would have picked an A Zildjian medium thin crash above all the others you listed, but since you didn't list it, I picked the A Custom, which is very similar.
