38 Guess I am one of the old farts around here (along with the rest of my band). I actually started playing at 18... and quit at 22. The reasons are long and boring, but needless to say, I started back up about 8 months ago. So its kind of like I am still 22.... (work with me here, I'm trying to stay young as long as I can).
I'm 37 and I've been drumming for 30 years. Been mostly semi-pro throughout my adulthood, though I've tinkered with full-time pro in between career goals. I hope to retire early so I can spend the rest of my life playing music I love!
I post on several boards and it's interesting to compare the cultures. It seems to me that experience is drawn to experience, relatively speaking. I try to interact with all different types of groups, so I hope to find what makes this group tick so I can contribute more.
