i was watching a video of chris pennie (the dillinger escape plan) covering a techno song Come To Daddy from Aphex Twin. i belive there should be more cover songs or combination of techno and drums

im not a big techno fan but i saw a video of the drummer from a group called fukt and he was awesome. Lots of different hi hats and snares on his kit.

oh and by the way, that video was pretty cool

well the singer form Deftones Chino Moreno made a side project with other band players its called Team Sleep. they play like techno-rock and its pretty bad ass.

Very nice video. He was doing alot of different things in there. I guess I have respect for techno drumming now. Cool.

well techno is very similar to metal and rock than you think (musicianshipwise). because they would have offtiming and also speed, and even solos and breakdowns. like one very popular genre of techno is trance, which is pretty awesome. theyll have a song and gradually gets bigger and would change into a new song and etc. :wink:

it always puts a smile on my face that people who don't listen to a lot of electronic music call it all "techno", but people who do try to compartmentalize everything into microgenres even more minute than those involved in, say, rock.

Anything Techno, I go to Jojo for. He's made a living off of Drum 'n Bass Grooves and the like.
