Hi everyone, i,m new here an thought i'd give you my version of Joe Morello's Stone Killer exercise. hope you like it :)

LLRRRLLLLRRRRRLLLLLLRRRRRRRLLLLLLLL
RRLLLRRRRLLLLLRRRRRRLLLLLLLRRRRRRRR

You can play it over whatever your feet can handle.

And set your metronome as high as you can play 8 straight on
one hand.

If anyone has any other variations bring em on, doing this stuff for at least 10mins a day gives you one hell of a pick up !

Stay Sain Enjoy The Pain.

and yeah, start at 60 bpm =P

No offence to anyone, but I belive you shouldn't only do 8 on one hand anyway. Look at Johnny Rabb's 30 days to better hands. Great Exercises also.

All that was meant by the speed and number of hits per hand was a starting point for a tempo you are comfortable with( no offence Taken) I like to play this usually to progressions of 13 beats per side, but you get the idea anyway.

Here is another, this one should be played slow focusing on the double strokes where you chose to put them. (little letter = double)

You can alternate this sort of thing from any of GLS's type exercises

Try to feel the diffferance between swinging the doubles an keeping them straight, also great on hand over hand rock rolls instead of an accent.

stay sain enjoy the pain.
