Snare rings from tom and bass

Are you talking about a ring or a snare buzz?

Both are caused by sympathetic vibrations. You'll never fully get round it, because you have a good few drums in a small space.

The best thing you can do is look at the tuning, try different pitches on toms, snare etc and try to make sure they're not too similar in pitch as 2 drums close in pitch with excite togther easily in an orgy of vibrations, which is annoying.

Don't be afraid to try and use moongels to control the overtones or different ideas on setup and tuning.

You'll figure it out eventually, happy tuning!

Yeah, it's just a matter of tuning to try and minimise it.

There was a thread about 2 weeks ago all on buzzing snares! Main thing is not to worry, it happens to almost all of us at some point and it can be the most anoying thing in the world.

Like I said before, try to tune the drums so they don't sit too close together in terms of pitch with the snare.
