Programmable Click Track

Hey all,

It's been a while since I posted here, but my thrash metal band and I are heading into the studio in a few weeks to track songs for our first full-length. We're hoping to record to a click track for the first time in order to allow ourselves the ability to make easy edits and things like that, but we've run into some logistical problems with the click itself. Our tempos change quite often within a song itself; for example:

Obsidian Legacy
125 bpm intro (sixteenth notes)
100 bpm verse/chorus (sixteenth notes)
150 bpm fast break (eighth notes)
100 bpm verse/chorus (sixteenth notes)
125 bpm intro (sixteenth notes)

Keep in mind I'm not much of a theory guy so the eighth and sixteenth note things might be wrong - that might be something different in a consistent bpm, I'm not sure. Anyway, my question is, using Logic or Garageband (or Audacity), is there a way to program a click track so that it changes tempo after a certain number of bars? Are there any non-computer based ways of doing this? Has anyone tried this before?

Thanks.

you should be able to program it at the studio before you guys get ready to record, talk with the engineer he might not charge ya for the time. Most engineers will be able to set it up rather quick ya just need to let him know when these changes occur
