I was wondering if you purchase a pearl icon rack. will it be great to install if you have a double bass kit, or do you have to buy 2 racks in order to look good. and also what are the best double bass racks out there?

Get a Pearl ICON with a side extension. It will work for double bass just fine.

you can do it with just an ordinary ICON 3 sided rack, i havnt done it myself but have seen it, but you can just get an extension onto the side of it to make it a 4 sided

I can build you one out of stainless steel, custom, to fit all your needs. On top of that its tig-welded for the ultimate strength. Imagine the possibilities!
Um, about the price.............................................not cheap, material prices are through the roof.

I've got a double bass set up with three curved bars. IMO, four curved icon bars are just way too much. Then again, I like a small tight set up, so it may work for other people.

I've actually used just 2 bars before too, but this probably won't work too well depending on your set up.

Or, you could do something along the lines of what this guy did:

Dude, third pedal in, from the left, is that some kind of "dualist" set-up?
Oh, duh, I see now, used to be slaved pedals, now separate, ya prolly keep the beater on there so if you have to set up that way, etc, etc. My bad.

Yea, actually I just throw in that beater cause without a beater in there the little bolt fall out from the vibrations.

Here's a slightly different variation of that other rack set up I posted. I think this is Drowning Pool's drummer? I really have no clue though.
