Oil or grease for your pedal??

What's best to use for lubing the chain and other components on your pedals?? A spray can of grease seems to work for me better than some oil, but I'm worried about how the grease builds up and attracts so much dust....
any thoughts???

I agree with Bill. CLP or another lithium based lube is best. No WD-40...it is water based and will eventually cause rust and build up. Grapihte powder is OK but tends to be messy. Peace on ya!

Use:
Graphite Powder
White Lithium Grease
CLP

don't use
Black Grease (makes a mess)
Vaseline
WD 40

^^Agreed.

Certain companies also sell products made specifically for lubricating your pedals. Gibraltar makes some I know, and I'm sure some others do as well.

I like a product called "CLP" and that means "CLeaner, Lube & Protectant".

It has teflon also.
