you asked for it.... i felt zero energy...You most definitely know what you're doing, and I'm not gonna begin to take that from you...but there's no energy from anyone within your ensemble...
Maybe this will help you better define and enhance your relationship with the stage...
Play hard, bro...
ps
sorry if i was harsh

thanks guys.

i agree. i wish i could get the guys to give more. sometimes its hard though. some gigs we play are pretty dismal audience-wise. a gig is atwo way street. you look a bit of a chop giving a stadium sized performance on a dart stage with an audience of 15 members.

Actually, having just watched the first video, I thought the energy levels were appropriately balanced! It's hard to maintain the 'jump around go nuts' approach constantly, but it looked like everyone was enjoying themselves and having a thoroughly good time.

It's important to remember that a lot of the 'energy' of a gig dissipates when transfered to Youtube. There's nothing like being in the crowd of a live act!

Good job!

Keep rockin'

lol. no its a dude in a chair.

thanks, PsYkeR. you're absolutely right. it's also sometimes a struggle to keep upenergy when you're doing three of these aweek for 4 years running with less that a handful of days off.

Nice job dude.Try to fix your snare drum height i think that is too low.IF you change position your hit will be stronger and your movement will be easier.Keep on the great job and if you have time you can see 2 of my videos...i would apreciate a comment from you

I thought from a drumming standpoint you did a good job fella. It's hard when there's only a few people watching, but that's just the way it goes down! I was also digging Beastie Boys, going to suggest we do that in my covers band which is uncannily similar in terms of a set to yours :p

I enjoyed the vids. I think the band has a pretty relaxed yet rockin feel. Not so loud and distorted that one couldn't carry a conversation with their friends at the bar, but rockin enough that they could still feel it.

"Basket Case" is a song I'm very particular about, so I'll say you played it nothing like the record, but you don't have to.

I give your vids a thumbs up

and your website gets two thumbs up, i enjoy it, the drums philosophy and articles are very good.

I think what DWToast is getting at is that it sounds like you're playing from your mind. It's like you're thinking about the next fill the whole time.

You've got great time for sure man! But it feels like you need to loosen up just a bit...and speed up that "Killers" song!

No way... I think that's the absolute worst outlook a musician can have. People won't notice OR care if the band doesn't look like what they're doing interests them.
