im sure everyone here is familar with the site youtube and maybe even has some drums vids of themself playing. i thought itd be a good idea if everyone who has some drum vids up to post their links here and instead of just talking about drums with each other we can watch and listen as well. so reply with your url links and get to watching! heres two of my vids enjoy. and remember to use constructive criticism, not all of us are drum gods yet and i certainly dont claim to be.

How do you get your fills to be so smooth? Mine sometimes just get jumbled up and weird. How do you practice your fills?

i usually just practice by just playing a beat and doing a completely improv fill right on spot and sometimes it works and sometimes it ends up off time but it helps u get used to making your fills fit and also gives u new ideas, sometimes a mistake can turn into a new idea. another thing is to be familar with common fill techniques like triplets, quads, and 16th notes and practice them seperately at first and then try mixing them toghether that way when u throw em in on a beat your already familar and the result should be alot tighter and smoother.

Guys, if you are going to use the HTML to post your video...

(HTML is the weird code that is between brackets, like this <a href=blahblahblahtypetypetype>, you HAVE TO UNCHECK THE FIRST BOX AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POSTING SCREEN. That would be the one that says, and I quote, "Disable HTML in this post" If you don't, then it won't show as a video, it'll show as a bunch of code.

Or, simpler yet, use the right code, and grab the bulletin board code. BB code (which is used on messageboards like this one), uses brackets like this: [insert code here]. If you look above your posting box, there's a button on the right called URL. Just cut and paste your link code into the posting area, like this:

iplaydrumsgood.com (I had to leave out the www for this example, since this forum will automatically make it a link if I put it in.)

Then click and drag to highlight the whole post, then click the "URL" button. You'll your site between two URL tags. When you post, your URL will look like this:

http://www.iplaydrumsgood.com

See? Isn't that easy? If you lads and lasses have any questions, please feel free to ask me.

My first attempt at the embedding process...ok, so I can't see it on Firefox, I can on IE. I can also see it in the preview of a post or when I'm replying to a post on Firefox, but I can't see it on the main thread page....I dunno.

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/LWSH8QN5LIA"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/LWSH8QN5LIA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

maybe different browsers interpret the html differently? I can never see the embedded videos, I've got to search thru the jumbled code to find the URL. I thought a lot of forums didn't allow embedding, but maybe it's just my Firefox or Navigator?

I guess I've got a bunch of copying and pasting to do~
