help!

i have a late 80's early 90's pearl export kit i know that it has several woods that it is made of, but what are they? do any of you know?

i know now they are all poplar. but the old pearl world series in the late 80's were maple. so im thinking the forums and exports may have been poplar from the beginning or else there wouldnt really be a need for the seperate series drums.

i'd be willing to bet that since its a lower line kit that they would use all poplar just because of the price. i really double they would combine woods on a low line kit. im not 100% sure but i'd put money on the shell being 100% poplar

The Export series is an intermediate kit and Pearls intermediate kits used poplar shells. The professional kits such as the sessions and master series used maple shells. If I had to guess you have poplar shells.
