i never gave it much thought, the drums are clearly heard on the outside from the basement and i play sometimes at 8am or midnight depending on the mood.

no one has ever complained, they shouldnt as they blast spanish and rap music some weekends until 1am, i evern learned that classic spanish music drum beat from hearing it so much....LOL.

i must imagine some people make enemies from a dick neighbor.

One of my neighbors is a cop who has asked me to not play past 8pm and the other is just a cunt who hates everyone because she's ugly and hasn't gotten laid since her kids were born 20 years ago.

Generally, I try to be respectful with my playing because I know how loud my drums and playing are. My next house is getting at least a sound deadened room for drumming/tracking in.

I live next to a cop too, but he asked not to play past 6pm on weekdays, and 8 on weekends. I don't play on sundays at all, just out of respect cause that's when most people are home all day. The neighbor on the other side loves my playing though. He doesn't care at all when I play lol.

My entire neighborhood (townhouse association) barred me from playing at all when I was just starting out. So I drove out into a field far away from any houses and practiced out of my car. You could have a license at 15 then!

shut up bong. I'll stop you from playing now.
heh No I'm kidding.
I'll be nice.

I got my license when I was 14.

I've gotten the cops called on me once for playing at around 9 am on a sunday... But other than that I play all I want until 9 pm.

I don't think my neighbors hate me. They just find me irritating some times. But they'll probably be happy for a while because the shed were my drums were being kept got infested with hornets. I had to move my stuff back into the room so now I can't play as often, on account of I live with my grandparents...

The kid that lives across the street from the cop plays anywhere from 8am to 12am. But he's like, eight I think, doesn't play anywhere near as loud as me, his kit isn't as loud as mine, and he's got the width of the street as a buffer. A lot of people actually thought I was just turning the radio up really loud. :D

Hahaha. I've practiced in an orchard a couple of times. Very different and inspiring environment.

I've never had trouble at any house or aparment where I've lived; other people's places is a whole other story. My neighbors have either not acknowledged any thing, and others have engaged me in positive conversation about my playing. I've been lucky.

It's one of those things you just have to experience for yourself because it's just indescribable.

these assholes moved behind my house so me and my buddy set up our gear as close to the property line as possible and jammed for twenty minutes.

I won't play anytime before noon or after 9 p.m. So far I haven't had any complaints from people (knocks on wood). I've actually had more problems from my neighbours. A guy across the street owns 2 Harleys, and seems to enjoy firing them up at about 7 in the morning, rev the engines for a while, and then shut them down again. Understandable thing to do so the engines don't seize up, considering he doesn't ride them that often, but still, it's freaking annoying. They're louder than my drums are easily.

The rest of my neighbours are pretty cool. One of them plays bass, so she came over to sit in on a jam one day. Yeah, that didn't turn out too well. She was more excited about the idea of being good, than actually being good. Pretty sure she was stoned out of her trees too. And another neighbour has a son that's about 8 years old. He said everytime he hears the drums his son gets really excited and tries to look in through the window so he can see me playing. He's off to a good start! :D
