Do i Need New Res. Heads?

I'm planning to finally get rid of my stupid Pearl stock Pro-Tones and get some Evans EC-2s (heard many good things) and an EMAD, but i'm wondering if it's also worth it to buy new resonant heads... I was thinking G1s or whatever, but since you don't hit them with sticks there's no damage on mine... Will they really alter the sound at all?

Absolutely. A better reso head will make a huge difference. I just switched brands, after 15 years playing Attacks, I made the switch to Evans and put G1s on the bottoms of my toms, replacing the standard Attack ThinSkins that had been there for over a decade. The pickup in resonance was amazing. Just make sure you tune your reso heads correctly, and you'll get some great sounds from those drums!

I like to get the thinnest resonant heads possible
That's why I like the Remo Diplomat
Is there another brand/model that is as thin ?
It would be nice to know in case I'm in a bind

Rockula,

Take a look at Attack ThinSkins. They are made to be resonant heads, might be what you are looking for.
