In your opinion; How much of a differance would there realy be if one shell was made of Bubinga wood and another of Bubinga/birch.... in the same size, and head combo?

Not much. Heads and tunning are the most important. I'm sure their will be some slight differences in sound, just like a hybrid shell doesn't sound the same as pure maple. They will sound similar but you need to play one of each to make your decision.

It's darker! Well, even though it's darker, they sound nice too when tuned in high pitched. I have a Masai Snare which uses 12 ply of Bubinga and it just sound incredible!

Oh wow, that one is the snare I'm interested in buying! Although I can't afford it currently. Care to tell me more about it?
