Bongo's

Hi guys

I've recently thought about getting a set of bongo's to work on some percussion skills and wondered if anyone had any advice on them. I'm thinking about the best size to get, particular manufacturers etc.

Any help would be much appreciated :D

Cheers!

Get "The Bongo Book". I don't know who's the author, but the book is very good. Covers almost everything that you should know about playing bongos.

What would you like to know exactly? If it is advice on brands, I prefer Pearl Elite oak and Meinl top end lines. If you can find some, get a set of Bauer bongos from Brazil.

I've compared many bongos and those above sound better to my ears than others. For example I think the Pearl oaks are quite a lot better even than the LP high end lines. The heads Pearl uses are better as well.

As someone said above, the Bongo Book is quite good.
