Am I Wrong?

ok, I play a Yamaha Stage Custom Standard 6 piece (I actually only use 5) in Raven Fade Black.

I've had it for about a year now, and the drum set sounds great. Amazing actually.

Now to the question.

Am I wrong for wanting another kit that is more visually appealing?
I love the way my kit sounds I just think its boring to look at......

My drum kit is anodized blue with aluminum flames machined into them, the finish is as loud as the drums... there's no harm in something a little flashy, but... if mine didn't sound great, I wouldn't be happy at all.

Just make sure whatever you get sounds at LEAST as good as what you currently have! It would be a real shame to step backwards in the sound department to gain in the looks department!

Depending on where in the world you live, there are professionals who can change the appearance of your drums - custom shop. I would rather have a kit that sounds great but looks bland than a kit that looks awesome and sounds like crap.
