60-70s Rock Drum Heads

Hey guys. I just registered today. I've been drumming for about a year now on a set my friend has. Although it's his drum set it's kinda like my drum set. The drum heads he has on them are pretty old (like 3 years old). I want to get a new set of heads that give off a 60-70s rock type sound, because that's pretty much the type of music we play (Hendrix and Zeppelin). I was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction? I'm kinda new to the whole drum scene and so far all I've done is upgraded the cymbals to Paiste 101s. I'm not on a big budget (hence the 101s) but I don't mind spending some money to get better sound. Any input is welcome. Thanks

EDIT: Oh yeah, I have a 14' snare, 12" and 13" toms, 16" floor, and 22" bass.

try a remo coated single ply...i think the ambassadors are the single ply heads. that might be what your looking for

I'd suggest Remo Pinstripes, Remo Black Dots, or Ludwig Weathermasters.

Welcome aboard.
I'd say pinstripes for the toms-possibly even the bass drum, if you wanted to.
There are better BD heads out there, such as a powersonic.
Or so I would think.
The more experienced guys here can help you out better.
As for the snare, you can't go wrong with a good old coated ambassador.
If you want more pop to it, then get a pinstripe or a black dot on it.

Evans Hydraulic or Aquarian Performance II heads will really give you that cardboard box '70s sound.
