I have the modern drummer magizine when tommy
lee was on the frount cover and it said he used a 22 k
heavy ride but then i checked out his set up at the
Zildjian web site and it says he now plays a 20' k heavy
ride.

They used to make the 22" Heavy Ride, but took it out a year ago or so 'cause it wasn't selling. If you ask at their site they will tell you to try their A Zildjian 22 Ping Ride or the Z Custom MegaBell Ride. Don't waste your time or money - they don't sound like the 22 K.

I have had K Heavy Rides in 20"(pre serial) & 21"(newer - K on bottom like EAKs) and really liked them. Sold the 20" to get the 21". Then sold the 21" 'cause I wasn't using it :p, but it was a great cymbal. Too me, the newer (21") represented better what Ks are known for. It also had some nice and subtle undertones that made it a terrific cymbal. I was very dumb to sell it, but needed the $$$...
