Any PAISTE POWER CRASH is also insanely powerful and loud.
I proudly play with Tama (snare drums), PDP, Sabian, LP, Paiste, Vic Firth, Aquarian (bass and snare heads), and Remo (tom heads)brands! My biggest drummer influences are Mic Fleetwood, Nicko McBrain, and Mike Portnoy.

If you're going with Sabian AAXplosion crashes (which i have and are fantastic) it would prob be a better idea to get the 16" and 18" combo rather than the 17" and 19" combo. The 16"/18" are perfect for all around playing and go well with any kind of music. the 17"/19" is more for metal and extremo loud playing. Plus bigger isn't always louder. The 16" packs a loud enough sound to be heard over your friend's distortion. Trust me, its loud.

You may even want to buy three cymbals. I have 16" 17" 18" and i call them my power trio =] never let me down

Nice I like that! ^_^ I am planning on getting an 18" Vault Crash and a 20" Vault Crash, and then I will have the three main sizes, plus the Vault hats, and an AAX Studio Crash 14". My Trio of Vaults. I have hit the 20" at my local Sam Ash, and man, it's a BEAST!
