On drumset wood sticks last me on at least 8months,

I have broken an Ahead 5B due to an accidental rim shot live,

In drumcorp my tenor mallets last a while although I have cracked the tips for the inside out over the course of 4 years.

i break one or two pairs a week. i play 25-30 hours a week, most practice some gigs. also depends on sticks i use. nylon tips are great, i use the ahead aluminum sticks once in a while also. havent broken them yet which is nice

well, i used to use wood sticks and i broke a pair about every week from just jamming, and so i eventually decided i needed a change, so i got the joey jordison signature sticks. they have an aluminum core with replaceable sleeves, so they last a REALLY long time. ive had them over a month now and with the exeption of the dented sleeves, they are perfect

Umm, about 4 months,
But I play 7A s and jazz sticks,

And I play with nylon tips, and buy all the same sticks, so when one breaks I can just pick up another one of the same kind from another broken pair.

I'm a heavy hitter so I usually break 2 a week. I use freshly new sticks ALWAYS at gigs, and then rotate those as my practice/rehearsal sticks. I also use the Tommy Lee Ahead Signature model, and I break those about once a month, but I don't use them as often...
