Hi all!

A very good drummer told me I should listen to some Steve Gadd - can anyone suggest any particular album to buy?

PS - I'm beginner :)

Yeah!

Start off with the Paul Simon album "Still crazy after all these years" (1975).

Start off with the song "50 ways to leave your lover".

Some real interesting drum-pattern from the great Steve Gadd! 8)

The record is also great, by the way! :D

What style of music do you want to hear him play? He's done an awful lot.

Any Gadd Gang recording.

Tour de Force Live. Al Di Meola.

Elegant Gypsy. Al Di Meola.

Any Steely Dan recording that lists him.

Three quartets. Chic Corea.

Rendezvous in New York. Chic Corea.

From Q With Love. Quincy Jones.

Sample This. Joe Sample.

Street Smart. Eddie Gomez.

Live in Tokyo. Manhatten jazz quintet.

Gomez. Eddie Gomez.

Pacific Fire. George Benson.

Don't Stop The Music. The Brecker Brothers.

Still Crazy After All These Years. Paul Simon.

Concert In Central Park. Simon and Garfunkel. (incidentally, he gave this gig to Dave Weckl and that was Dave's Big Break.))

Main Squeeze. Chuck Mangione.

Incognito. Spyro Gyra.

Smokin' In The Pit. Steps Ahead.

Arrows. Steve Khan.

Uptown dance. Stephane Grappelli.

There are so many more.
I don't know what I'm talking about!
