As the title says!

What I like most about playing drums is making other people bounce :) I love playing gigs with my band and that's what I drum for :)

The energy. The chemistry that drive me to play at my best with other musicians. The enthousiasm which drums create(somehow it's a cure for all my sadness).
Mapex, Istanbul Agop, Attack, Vater/O4D.
I want an endorsement :)

-The fact that people can hear me without any electronics at all just me and my kit.

-being able to make a whole crowd move without saying one word

-letting go of time and keeping time at the same time

I turned to drumming during a time in my that was very hard for me. I used it as an outlet for my aggression. Now I play drums because I love to do it and it's something I'm good at. Hell drums kept me from switching high schools. I'm happiest when I have a pair of sticks (or boobs) in my hands.

It's such a great anger managment tool for me, which I really need. I couldn't play drums for 4 months when I went to boot camp and school after that... I was a much angrier person. I kind of like knowing that I, in a sense, control where the band goes. If I play faster, they play faster. Or at jams where we just play by feel or whatever, I can go anywhere I want and the band follows. But it works both ways. I like working behind the scenes, which is somewhat what a drummer does... Until the bad ass drum solo :-)

Drums have given me a life, a beautiful girlfriend, a studio, confidence, and a life without bordome! My life started once I picked up drum sticks!

im not gonna get all poetic on you all like everyone else seems to be doing. i started drums coz one day i walked into music class in early high school n our teacher played drums while we all walked in the room. all she was playing with the basic rock beat with a painfully basic fill. i was amazed it sounded so cool! she let the class have a go that day see if we could get the basic rock beat. i sat there tapping on my hands how she had taught me i didnt stop n then it came to my turn n i was the only person to get it. i knew from that day that this was what i wanted to more than anything. i took up some lessons n just went from there. so yeah im going to be honest. drums doesnt give me life it wasnt my cure a light from heaven didnt shine down upon it when i saw them i started playing coz they sounded like the coolest thing i had ever heard.

My favorite part of drumming is getting the crowd into it, theres no better feeling for me than to have the crowd screaming your name while playing drums.

I play with some very talented guys in my band and they get the crowds' attention but when I come into a song you can watch the people feel the music, once my kick drum starts punching them in the chest its undeniable, and also through good times and bad my drums are always a constant source of comfort

The thing I like most about playing drums is that it involves hitting things with sticks, at times with extreme force. Hello! I can't believe no one has said this yet. haha

If you want a psychological approach. I like playing drums because it gives me the feeling that I control the music. That's why drummers are so frickin arrogant. We instinctively think we ARE the band. haha

Well for one drumming keeps me out of trouble.
Two it's fun as hell.
Three I love the satisfaction that I'm doing something that not a lot of people I know can do. Drumming makes me unique.
