to tell you the truth... i believe the one handed drum roll is over rated. i remember learning it via drum line... its sloppy and cant be used in syncopation IE 2-10 snare players trying to cut it at the same time.. if anyone knows any corps. that pull it off i would love to see a clip . bounce and rock the stick against the rim of the snare.. kinda cool but not as bad ass as rippin duple rolls. id only bust that shit out for just a small solo on kit.. even used then isnt toooo impressive. play crossovers and scrapes if you wanna look good while drummin'
Use vintage drums with vented snares for the best of both worlds.
