Oh dude, I so want to start a polka band now!

That's cool man, you can use the blood idea if you want (a cat with bloody eyes maybe?). I'll probably come up with something a million times sicker by the time I actualy get a custom head anyways.

Johnny Cat wrote:Hey everyone, I'm trying to come up with a really cool image that I can put on my kick drums, but I'm really lost for ideas. I don't really want to do a band logo or anything like that because my band could be gone next week and there's my money down the drain.

Anyone got any suggestions they think would look cool for a set with two kicks? Hopefully ones that correspond with each other? Thanks!

Yo man,
If you have any tats, you could always put your favorite one on the front head. Gives it a definite personal touch.

Here's a serious contender right here. I googled Buddy Rich vs. Animal and laughed my ass off when I found this shot:

I'm thinking I'll split it in half, and put the top shot of Animal on my left kick (audience perspective) and the shot of Buddy on my right hand kick.

It is my favorite show of all time after all, and how I first found out about Buddy when I was a kid.

Either that or maybe this one:

Haha, now maybe this is a bad idea, maybe I'm just insane...
...but my bass drum just has painter's tape on it.

But that's not the weird part.
The weird part is that it says in huge blue letter:
"SEA BEAR LIONS"

& That is definitely not the name of my band.
I just like sea lions and bears, so I combined them.
& I like confusing people...it entertains me.

DrumART wrote:Hey Johnny,

Before you make a decision on where to get your head, you should definitely check out the kind of work we do over at DrumART.com. We have complete custom drumhead packages and will work with you and your artist to ensure you get exactly what you want. We even have some stock heads and images that you might find perfect as well.

We also are very competitively priced and firmly believe in providing our customers with three things:
1) the best possible service
2) the highest quality products
3) the lowest possible price

We’ve been making custom drumheads since 1999 and have been featured in Modern Drummer and DRUM magazines. We are a full service shop and can also take your design and do custom banners, stickers, and tee shirts.

And, of course, we’re all drummers at DrumART, so we know and appreciate just how important drums are to our customers.

Please, I ask you, and anyone looking to get the best kick drum head at the best price, to check us out and look at our gallery of heads and customer feedback. You won’t be disappointed.

Thanks!
~J

I've seen these articles in the Albany Metroland. Looks like an awesome company. I thought about a new front skin but ran into the same problem of indecision. When I do, I'll know where to go.
