I cant remember which came first,

Either:

Solar Plexus - which played chilis, cream, hendrix

or

Forbidden Concept - which played nirvana, silverchair, and we had about 4 of our own songs. - all grungey.

This was only about 5 years ago when I got my first kit, a Session Pro. Still have it, its sittin outside my room! Cant get rid of the heap of junk!!

Memories...My first band was called "spark". We played Anuerism by Nirvana and Hey, Jude by the beetles. Boy, we sucked. In our minds, though, we were rockers.

Mine was in grade 9
Didnt have a name...
Well we did until we found out it was already taken
Cant say I remember it though
Haha, it was the most stupid thing
I had never even met the guys before
We decided over the net to form a band
The drummer refused to play infront of anyone
The bassist had only just gotten a bass and didnt know how to play
The guitarist said he was good, but I never found out
I was meant to be rhythm guitar and lead vocals
But after months of TALKING about jamming
I called it quits XD

My 1st band had no name and was formed in school, but did not exist for long.
My 2nd band was called "Bluesbites" in 1985 and we played some selfmade straight Bluesrock stuff, no covers. Good times.
I played lots of weekends with some guys in a more or less freaky pub in the woods, sessions with "free" music. We often played for 12 hours straight ... Improvisation session anyone? Count me in.
My first "real" band was called TKO65 (yesyes thats a peavy amp :) ) and the best gig we did was support for Victims Family in 1994 or so. I still play with the guitarist. Ha .. the drummer slayed the heads of both of his well tuned Montineri snares and got my crappy noname 14" piccolo I had in that times and he loved it, well it had a very high tuning, thus the head was close to indestructible, owow i tuned it with a special key held by water pump pliers, wheeee, I was young and had the money ...

My first real band is the band I am in now. "Ways of the Usual". Do covers and originals. It's always inspiring to play with someone who knows what they are doing.

Wow, that was many, many moons ago for sure!
It was 1986. The band was called CYRUSS. It was a Dio-inspired hair metal band really. We never got out of the garage but had one helluva fun time while it lasted.
We jammed some Metallica, Great White, Extreme, Black Sabbath and I wrote a couple of originals and we had this "great" idea of doing a concept album. The singer and I were huge DnD gamers so we wrote thise elaborte storyline, well it was never finished but we that we were the cat's ass..lol
Man, I miss those days!
