Thomas Lang is an amazing drummer - since I saw his "Creative Control" DVD I've made some serious progress with my drumming :)
Rhytm is a way to transmit a description of experience
in an emotional and not abstract way.
It is more than a metaphor:
It is a physical experience as real as any other.

I love Tim's work! His style is so tasteful-
I saw Primus open for Rush in New Orleans back in the mid '90s, now that was a drummer's dream-concert!

Brain is back?
I like his heavy, solid, John-Bonhamish feel. He does some cool stuff too. I recently saw a Bill Laswell concert on PBS or something, and Buckethead and Brain made an appearance. Now there's a pair of sidemen for ya...

My favorite drummers are Gene Krupa, Josh Freese, Louie Bellson, and Jeremy Hummel. All are great and can play such a variety of styles it's inspiring.

My favourite has to be Cozy Powell...first drummer I saw on TV [1973!!] inspired me to play, got the same nickname from kids at skool!! Great rock drummer, sadly departed.
