I'd have to say after 37 years of playing different kits, my 2006 Tama Exotix is my holy grail of a shell kit.

It would have to be my buddy's sonor sigs bubinga kit. Deep power toms and thick shells and a solid shell 6x13 snare that cracks !
It 's better to have played and broken sticks, than to have never held sticks at all.

I'd have to say first is my original Pat Foley kit, then my friends Bearingedge Kit with Wood Hoops, Original Ayotte kit before the change and his Brady Kit.

SCs are great kits IMO. The best kit I played was Gretsh Catalina Birch. I really love those babies

I like my DW 3 piece with my Pork Pie acrylic snare, also I've played SJC's i really liked, and an orange county kit which had the best sounding bass drum I've ever played.
