We are all drummers and I, on the 4th page am the FIRST to mention NICKO MCBRAIN!!!! :O Wow. This is sad. Have you guys like never heard stuff like Where Eagles Dare by Iron Maiden or The Wicker Man?? Or TONS of other songs he has done?! Sheesh! This must be a major punk drummer's site! No... not possible some of you said Mike Portnoy, Terry Bozzio, and Dave Roddy. All of those are not punk drummers. So obviously... none of you have noticed Nicko's talent with his foot on a single bass drum with a single kick. How sad.
I proudly play with Tama (snare drums), PDP, Sabian, LP, Paiste, Vic Firth, Aquarian (bass and snare heads), and Remo (tom heads)brands! My biggest drummer influences are Mic Fleetwood, Nicko McBrain, and Mike Portnoy.

Benny Greb= His independance and groove quality is amazing, as well as his ability to compose music and versatility on instruments.
Jojo Mayer= Drum and Bass music is actually what got me interested in drumming :P

For technical stuff Benny Greb would be my choice, he lives an hour away from my place :)

For fun Chris Adler. I'd like to have a beer or 2 with him.

My drum teacher is sort of famous. Kevin Talley of Daath, he used to play with Chimira, Dying Fetus, and Misery Index. He's a bad mofo! I really want to go to Jersey this summer to work with Chris Pennie a tad, he is fricking awesome.

definitely not my favorite drummers by far but if I could use for a teacher would be neil peart for chops and precision, and danny carrey for offtime signatures and odd downbeat placements!

I'm gonna add Jason Bittner for drum writing and double bass.
