I owned a beautiful set of 1973 Ludwigs with a 24 inch kick and I loved the way they sounded. I sold them to Drum Doctors in CA for a nice profit because I wanted to get a 26 inch kick. I now own a great set of Ddrum Maple Dominions and they are huge sounding. Also, anyone can make the crappiest set sound great if they learn how to tune the drums.

The best endorsement is whatever you like to play and can afford to buy for yourself. Everycompnay makes good drums and hardware. Every company has a problem area; it's just the nature of things.... So would you really want to have to say something nice about a product that you don't like?
