matched grip for drum set.. but if im showing off on the snare ill swith to traditional for backsticking and juggling and visuals... just looks prettier.
Use vintage drums with vented snares for the best of both worlds.

I play both traditional and matched in all positions. I use traditional when:
- I don't crash so often with my weaker hand
- I play a lot of ghost notes
- I don't play on the hi-hat with my weaker hand
I use matched:
-When playing something heavy ( ie. hard rock, metal)
-When I play a lot of hi-hat with my weaker hand(16th notes, open handed).

I also won't go with traditional if I have a lot of toms set up. Just don't feel very comfortable.

Same as you for me ^^ only i use the hi hat and crash a fair bit with traditional too. o.O really should calm down i think, i keep punching my cymbals when im in traditional.

I use both as the song requires but I can go from traditional to match while I am playing. I use trad on my left hand as I can do snare work easier. I have been using the Joe Morello dvds as my teacher in this method and he's right your wrist does start to rotate easier after a while in traditional grid.
