So who's the best drummer you've gotten to see play live? Clinic, concert, in their garage, doesn't matter.

For me it must be Piotr Szkudelski of Perfect. Seriously a great drummer and an open handed player. Worth seeing and listening to.

Mine would have to be Cindy Blackmon (Lenny Kravitz). Saw her at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, PA (Penn State University), and she blew the crowd away with a 10-minute solo on a small 4-piece Gretsch drumkit with 2 cymbals. My jaw was on the floor the whole time.

Honorable Mention:

John Tempesta (White Zombie)
Neil Peart (Rush)
Vinnie Paul (Pantera)
Rob Affuso (Skid Row)

I've seem some really great drummers.

Cindy Blackman, Rick Allen, Deen Castronovo, Joey Kramer, Eric Singer just to name a few. Rick Allen was really neat to see live playing with only his right arm. Eric Singer is a great showman, too.

probably a band a lot of you dont like, but the drummer of Avenged Sevenfold, The Rev, is awesome live. he has many stick tricks that he can pull of extremely fast, and still have perfect timing in the song. definietly worth watching. .check him out on youtube

"the Rev" from Avenge Sevenfold is very talented i just hate that whole band because they make themselfs look like tools, play bad music, and give themselfs lame nicknames like "The Rev".
