Chuck taylors or vans slip ons hands down. especially for kicking out all your single pedal double beats.
Use vintage drums with vented snares for the best of both worlds.

Good man!

I'm currently living in Converse All Stars and I love them! They're comfy, look cool as hell, give you loads of grip when needed and a great feel for the pedals!

PLUS THEY'RE CHEAP AS CHIPS!

I love the Converse Jackass Hightops:

But my favorite are my hippie shoes, Blackspot lowtops. Made of hemp and recycled rubber by unionized Portuguese shareholder employees.

I really like Converse Chuck Taylors but if I'm playing a gig where more double kick is involved I use a company called Drumshoes.
www.drumshoes.com. They're very like and made of mesh so they breathe great. Also, they work great for more dressy gigs beings their all black and it's way better than playing in dressshoes or having to take off and put on your shoes between sets.

I love to feel the pedals on my bare feet as much as possible.

If shoes are a must then my Omni's are the next best thing.
