I use Converse low tops. They are thin and that's what works for me. If I can't find those I'll try to find some other light weight shoes. The shoes I normally wear are too bulky.

I think any Puma retro show would do the Job.. i use New balance is my gym shoe.. hmm it does me well!

My take on the whole footwear thing is, if you dont wear gloves, why wear shoes? in my opinion, its best to feel the pedal like its best to feel the stick in your hand.

I wear my normal walking shoes.

they are comfterble so i play best with them :)

I only play Barefooted

Nothing in between the bass drum and your foot except for the pedal !!!!

capezio's make some good drumming shoes there real thin and flat

i played barefooted when i learned dubble bass. so i have more feel

I would say the best way to play is the most way you are comfortable with. I like to play with skatebording shoes.

Dudes and Dudets the best shoe ever to wear are converse all-star low tops! They dont hurt your heel,s and they are really flexible.

i wear Airwalk skater shoes. they're light and comfortable with very smooth soles. ever seen thomas lang? he wears these puma shoes...and neil peart says that he starting wearing tap dancing shoes after studying with freddie gruber...is that true?
