I have been playing sence december of 2000 so about 5 and a half years. Drums saved my life. This small town is ran by drugs I had started to try them I got in to my friends band and quit them to save for a kit I got a cheep $400 comes with metal in the shape of cymbles kit, and played every day from when I got home from school to dinner. I owe drums my life.

I'VE BEEN PLAYING DRUMS FOR 15 YEARS, AND TAKING LESSONS FOR 10. THAT DOES NOT MEAN HOWEVER THAT I'M AT THE LEVEL OF PLAYING THAT I DESIRE TO BE. I STILL STRIVE TO BE A BETTER PLAYER, AND MOST LIKELY UNLIKE MOST OF YOU ON THIS FORUM I DO NOT HAVE A KIT AT HOME I CAN PRACTICE ON. SO I WOULD PROBABLY CUT MY EXPERIENCE IN HALF TO ABOUT 7.5 YEARS. HA HA!

damn! im 13 now and ill play maybe 2 hours a day but thats all the time i got! playing those 2 hours leaves my school work undone till like 12 lol. i have no clue how you did it. 4 to 6 hours on a kit? or like studying drums and stuff?

31 years. I don't wish I started earlier, but I wish I would have taken it seriously earlier. I spent too much time dreaming of being a rock star and not nearly enough on the basics. I started playing in clubs when I was 14 and thought I didn't need to learn any more. Several years ago I decided to go back and learn how to "master" the kit. I'm still no master, but I'm a much better drummer than I thought I was when I was 20. :)
