My choice of drumhead is fully dependant on a number of factors involving the individual drum, type of music, whether I'll be on tour etc.

For drumkits I prefer Remo.

My Sonor Artist brass works well with the following heads.
Batter and resonant combinations.
1. Remo Concert Renaissance batter with Diplomat snare head.
2. Remo Fibreskin batter with Ambassador/Diplomat snare head.
3. Remo CS reverse black dot coated with Diplomat/Ambassador snare head.
4. Coated Ambassador batter with Ambassador/Diplomat snare head.

Sonor Artist Cottonwood Maple snare drum.
1. Remo Concert Renaissance batter with Diplomat snare head.
2. Remo Fibreskin batter with Ambassador/Diplomat snare head.
3. Remo CS reverse black dot coated with Diplomat/Ambassador snare head.
4. Coated Ambassador batter with Ambassador/Diplomat snare head.

Sonor Delite maple 4.4 X 14" snare drum.
1. Remo Concert Renaissance batter with Diplomat snare head.
2. Remo Fibreskin batter with Ambassador/Diplomat snare head.
3. Remo CS reverse black dot coated with Diplomat/Ambassador snare head.
4. Coated Ambassador batter with Ambassador/Diplomat snare head.

As you can see, all those drums work best for me with those combinations.

Slingerland Classic maple 6 1/2 X 14" (Not curently in my possession).
Remo coated Ambassador with Diplomat snare head. CS reverse dot coated head also works well as a batter.

Rogers stainless steel Dynasonic 6 1/2 X 14" snare drum.
Either Remo Ambassador coated CS or Ambassador batter. Diplomat or Ambassador snare head.

Maple toms.
If working locally or recording, coated Ambassador batters with clear Ambassador reso's.

If on tour. Either clear Pinstripe or Emperor batters. Clear Ambassador resonant heads.

Maple Kick drums.
Batter choice open depending on whether recording, touring or working locally. Batter head could be any of the following. Remo Fibreskin, Remo coated Ambassador, Clear Pinstripe, Clear Emperor.
Resonant head always coated Ambassasor.

Octobans. Clear Ambassadors.

Roto toms. Clear Ambassadors. Tuned very high.

20" Oak frame drum. Remo Clear Ambassador.

Tambourines. Natural goat skin or Remo Fibreskin.

Cuica. White single ply Raul plastic head.

Zabumba. Remo Ebony Pinstripe with white Raul resonant head.

Congas and bongos. Either natural calf skin or Remo Fibreskin. (Perfer Remo Fibreskin due to easy maintenance.)

Bata drums. Natural calf skin.

Rebolo. Natural goat skin or factory issued naugahyde.

Bodhrans. Natural goat skin.

Repinique. Remo clear Diplomat.

Repique de mao. Remo clear Diplomat.

Pandeiro. Remo Fibreskin, natural goat or reflectice plastic heads made in Brazil.

Tan Tan. Natural goat skin, Remo coated Emperor or factory issue naugahyde.

Frame drums, various sizes. Remo Fibreskin.

Tamborims. Either natural goat skin or white Ambassadors.

I'm currently bouncing back and forth between Attack and Evans. My toms are currently shod with Attack 2-Ply clear heads with the tone ring, my kick with the same, and my snare with an Evans 2-Ply ST Dry.

I used to favour Remo, now it's Evans.

I currently have G2 clear on my toms, G1 clear res, Power Centre reverse dot on snare (which has lasted longer than any other batter I've used) and about toget a new Emad for the bass.

I really like the Remo Renaissance Ambassadors pretty well. I have an Evans 700 series concert snare head that is pretty amazing, too. Similar look to the Renaissance, but slightly better feel and a nice tight sound.

I have a Fiberskyn 3 on my bass drum, which is pretty cool.

Like Dale said, it depends on the kit.

Mostly Attack, or REMO.

d.w. finish ply ultra white oyster: Attack (atm)

coated 1 - ply medium / thin (400 mil) snare side, on the snare
clear 2 - ply medium-thin / clear 1 - ply medium on toms, and bass drum.

d.w. exotic birdseye ebony stain: REMO

coated c.s. batter / ambassador snare
clear pinstripe / ebony ambassador, on the toms
clear powerstroke 4 / ebony powerstroke 3, on the bass

1972 Slingerland chrome over wood: REMO
coated ambassador / ambassador snare
coated ambassador / clear ambassador, toms
coated ambassador / ebony ambassador, bass

Pacific mx: Attack

1 - ply medium coated / snare side thin
2 - ply thin coated / 1 - ply clear, toms
2 - ply no overtone coated / smooth white no overtone, bass
