I love the sound of my bass drum with the clear EMAD2 on it, but I still cant find the sound for my toms. Anything that would sound like the EMAD2, but still let my toms sing??
Ya know, I'd really like to quit breakin' sticks and cymbals for awhile.

I use pinstripes. They give me a nice low thump but with plenty of resonance and not alot of overtones. but it does take some good tuning knowledge to get any heads to sound good.

Aquarian Performance II for a fat classic rock sound or Response 2 if you want actual tone.

I was thinking about betting those. Do you use the clear ones?

i may be wrong, but I went to Guitar center Once and I think I saw the ec2's completely clear, the coated ones, and there was another that were kind of hazy looking. I forget what they called them though. any ideas?

The hazy ones ARE EC2 Coateds. They don't make them completely coated, so you saw a different kind of coutaed, head, not EC2
