Its nothing special but i get a great sound live and in the studio on these suckers. Right here in this pic im using a 16" yamaha recording custom floor for a different sound. And i am also using a dw craviotto snare on this track. Normally i use my 12" pork pie but this was a particular sound and well guys you know we use what we need in the studio. 8" Signature series splash, Sabian China and the rest Zildjian. The best part about this kit is the kick. It's a 20X20...my fav!!

what are those mics over your toms?
Rhytm is a way to transmit a description of experience
in an emotional and not abstract way.
It is more than a metaphor:
It is a physical experience as real as any other.
