My studio and Gig kits now including Constantinoples

Postby audiotech » Sat Dec 11, 2010 6:52 pm

I don't post here very much, but I acquired a new kit a couple of months ago and just thought that I would post some pictures of it. It's a DW Classic Series 5 piece kit. It has a 22" x 16" bass drum 12" x 8" rack tom, a 14" x 14" floor tom, a 16" x 16" floor tom and a 14" x 5" snare. Cymbals on this particular kit are Zildjian K Custom Darks, except for the K Custom 11" Hybrid splash that's sitting over the 16" floor tom. The shells are poplar and mahogany with a maple re-ring. I still have my other kits, but this is the newest in the stable and they sound fantastic.

Thanks for the nice comments guys. The other two kits in the photos are my:

Tama Starclassic Bubingas. These are the full Bubinga shells with Zildjian A Custom cymbals.

And this set of drums is my Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute kit with Zildjian A cymbals.

Another set of drums I have are the Gretsch Renown. These have Sabian HHX Evolution cymbals with an HH Raw Bell Dry ride as the second ride.

My one other kit is a vintage Whitehall kit that I bought new in 1965 made by Pearl. It's cymbals are Sabian Hand Hammered.

Man, you have an amazing collection there. If I did my calculations right, you've spent right around 1 bajillion bucks on those guys haha.

Here's my newest kit I bought about a week before Christmas. It's a Ludwig Classic Maple with a "white Marine Pearl" finish. The sizes are 20" x 16" bass drum, 16" x 16" floor tom, 14" x 14" floor tom, 13" x 9" rack tom, 12" x 8" rack tom, 10" x 7" rack tom and a matching 14" x 5" Classic Maple Snare drum. The cymbals in the picture are all Sabian Hand Hammered. The cymbals from left to right are, 14" Dark hats, 18" Dark crash, 16" Thin crash, 21" Vintage ride, 10" Duo splash and a 16" Dark crash.
