Ddrum Dominion Maple Duo Fade

Postby Ericinho6 » Sun May 10, 2009 10:53 am

Well I finally got around to buying a brand new drum set. Got a SICK deal on the kit. Sounds absolutely incredible, unbelievable tone, resonance, attack, etc...I'm just so pleased with the kit to be honest.

All maple shells, black/blue duo fade, all die cast rims. Here are the specs:

Snare: 13" x 7"
Tom: 8" x 7"
Tom: 10" x 7"
Tom: 12" x 7"
Floor Tom: 14" x 14"
Floor Tom: 16" x 16"
Bass Drum: 20" x 20"

6" Zil-Bel
8" Avedis Splash
10" Avedis Splash
13" ZBT Hi-Hats (mounted)
14" A Custom Mastersound Hi-Hats
16" A Custom Crash
18" A Custom Fast Crash
18" Avedis China High
19" Z Custom Rock Crash
22" A Custom Ping Ride

Evans Onyx Heads on the toms and snare batter side. Evans EQ4 batter on the bass drum. Evans Resonant on all toms and snare resonant sides. Note: I realize the 8" has a clear head on it, I'm waiting for my 8" to come in.

DW4000 double bass pedal, Pearl hi-hat stand, Pearl DR-80 rack, and Pearl, Gibraltar hardware mostly.

Real nice, they have an almost mix sound between the G2s and EC2s but with a coated feel to the sound really. They're great. Great attack for sure.

I always thought the blue was brighter than that. Seein that makes me kinda want that finish over the white and black. Sweet dude.

Oh yeah, the blue looks exactly that color in MY photos. I thought it would be brighter as it showed on their site, but it's a darker blue. Trust me, WAY better than the black/white.

It's a 22" A Custom Ping Ride...I use it as a crash/ride but with proper technique. Basically, it's my work horse if you will and has been for nearly 10 years. Just over time she's worn down, but I'll never get another cymbal different. I love it. I'm ordering a new one this week.
