Does anyone know where I would be able to find a case or gig bag for my 12"w x 5"d snare? I've found plenty of 12" ones, but I really don't want it sliding around vertically, either.

get one custom made from protection racket, or you could get some egg crate foam to wrap around your drum and get a 13x5 or 14x5 case for it.

Try http://www.hardcase.com/snares.htm as they've got a 12" version listed. I think 127mm is 5"....

I have the Humes and Berg Drumseeker bag for my snare. It's pretty heavy duty even though it is a soft case.

i would suggest putting foam around the drum so if the case hits anything the drum will still be fully safe.(only if you don't use hard cases)

A quick solution would be using a 12"x8" case and place towels on the bottom and top of the drum. You won't get any drum movement and get some extra shock protection.
