I want to raise the spring tension on my double bass pedal, but I don't know how. I kno its kind of noobish but this site is cool cuz most people dont care about that. I have a dw 5000, not sure which model but its a chain one.

You have 2 possibilities. One is to adjust the angel of the beater by loosening the little screw which holds the spring. Second is to loose the scres at the lower end of the spring to tighten it a bit. Well at least thats what I have experimented with.

EDIT: lol "angel" I ment angle .. :D
