Sorry to ressurect an old thread (it really gets to me when someone does that, especially with like 20 at a time), but I just picked up a pair of Steve Gadd signature sticks and they're great!

Yesterday I picked up a pair of Omar Hakim's Vic Firth Signatures. I was looking for a 5B kind of stick, but with a round, nylon tip. I couldn't order the Hakim Sig. here in Holland via internet. Yesterday I went into a random musicstore and the one sig.stick they had, were the Hakim sig. So that was a lucky find I guess! They have a very short taper and round nylon tip, wich give a very clear cymbal sound. They're also slightly thinner than a normal Vic 5B. Last few months I've been really trying out alot of different stick in my search for the perfect one. Also I wanna try the Nicko McBrain Sig, wich is the same as a 5B, but with a larger tip and slichtly thicker taper. And the Rod Morgenstein, who's stick lies somewhere between a 5B and a 2B. Also played with the zildjian Colaiuta Sig's ad they were nice aswell, but I really like nylon tips, so I think the closest to Vinnie's stick are the Hakim Sig's.
