I own one. Its ok... I'd love to get an Icon next, but for what its worth it holds up decently provided you have the right allen wrenches and keep everything tight to prevent it from moving. My only complaint is that the legs don't have any feet, which at some point or another could affect the stability to a slight degree based on how wide you would want it to open up on the sides.
Somewhat of a hassle to take down and reassemble quickly due to the whole wrench thing. Other than that I'd rank it as decent...
If you have the cash, I'd 2nd the post above for an ICON

I heard it hard to fit a 22" bass under it while having toms on it. Is this true?

I second this and I have a 22in bass drum and it fits fine with my toms on it but I have the ICON.

I've never had a problem placing my bass drum under it.It depends on your tom arm length, but the best way around that is to buy a few PCX-200 angle clamps (those clamps DO fit the DR-80 just fine even though they are intended for the icon rack)

get the icon. The biggest problem i find with the dr-80 is that you need all 3 sides for it to stand up by itself. In other words it has not feet on the legs for it to stand by itself. with the icon you can use the front portion by its self.

I have the precursor to that rack, the Porcoro version, and it does me very well. I hang quite a bit off it.
