DW is the only one that comes to the top of my head. They make REALLY good ones but they'd probably be a little pricier than your average stand. Of course, as usual, when you pay a lot for something DW its totaly worth it

Pearl makes a stand that'll convert from normal to flat.

i just bought that entire line of gibraltar hardware. figured it'd be a nice alternative to my heavy duty dw hardware.

in all honesty, the gibraltar stuff is just as nice as the dw stuff. especially now that dw switched to a generic tilting system on their stands.

the gibraltar stuff's way cheaper to boot.

I have been using mainly gibraltar stands for a while. they're durable. I've had my comfy bikeseat gibraltar throne for 15 years or so, and my hihat stand for several years.

to cheese: I used to have some "vintage" ludwig stands. they were terrible! they'd barely hold the ride cymbal up, the wingnuts would come loose, they'd almost fall over just from breathing on them.
