I bought these today as I felt the need for new ear protection. They cost me £10 and im pretty disappointed to be honest. They just didnt seem to cut down the noise levels enough for me.
Has anyone else used these and experienced the same thing?

I use some airplugs by Millennium (German company if I'm not mistaken). They don't cut down volume that much, they simply remove any noise that'll hurt your ears. That's how I want 'em to work. I paid 20€ for 'em, couldn't be happier. Although I use my headphones a lot more now, comfortability factor. :)

Maybe thats what the Proplugs have done, cut out the bad noise. Because I did notice a change, just not a huge one.

Stick with them - I use these and trust me, they work. Wear them all night before and during a gig, play, then take them out and listen to how harsh everything sounds without them.

Really dude, they do a good job, and I agree that at first it doesn't seem like they're doing anything, but they are :)

I use standard disposable foam plugs when I need hearing protection. Unless the place has loud monitors (which definitely happens a bit of the time) I usually don't use them on the gig, normally just at practice where we're all crammed into a small room.

Yeah I don't tend to wear mine when we play, unless it's a really shitty gig. Though I can't wear those foam ones, I get annoyed at them and pull them out haha

The Pro Plugs are good because they don't go into your ear, just in the pinna area. Also they're clear and fit snugly, so you don't look like you have marshmallows stuffed in yer lugs :D
