It's time to discuss drum accessories.

can you get custom hardware???

I only ask because of all this talk of customization going on and if your going to get a completely custom kit why not look for custom hardware?
does any body know if gibralter or DW/PDP does this?

that kit was craazy. also, those nutty racks that all the metal guys were using in the mid to late 80's.

I've never seen custom cymbal stands, tilters, or other smaller pieces, just custom racks.

at my local store the guys who respray shells also refinish hardware and you can get it pretty much any colour you like :)

Scott's rack set up started as a Voelker rack from back in the day,....as Allen was eluding to. It started with a whole custom platform/riser and fabricated rack design....several players through out the years have used them.Big to do, most of them started out in the vacinity of $10,000. The base platform and built in throne ( I forget what it was called- it had a pattented name) started at $2,500.00 with out any of the rack.

Now Scott has his own drum company as well as rockenwraps and does his own hardware/rack designs. As for his custom drums he mainly uses Yamaha hardware ( based on the last conversation I had with him, that was about two years ago) unless otherwise requested. Most hardware is available at whole sale through a manufacturer or distributor.
