Goo Gone on Cymbals???

Postby Metal25 » Mon Feb 22, 2010 12:21 pm

Guys, Ive got a dilema...
I had some cheap moongels on my cymbals for slight dampening and they were on for several weeks. when I removed them they left a sticky residue. i tried cleaning it with normal cymbal cleaner and all it did was wipe it around and now my cymbal looks like s**t. Im wanting to know if i can use Goo Gone on my cymbal (its an A Custom crash) to remove the residue.
Any thoughts?
I play and recommend:
Spaun Custom Birch Drums
Zildjian and Meinl Cymbals
Pearl Rack
Tama hardware
Trick Pedals
Vater Stix

My friend used Barkeepers Friend on his cymbals. It cleaned it good but it'll take the logo off.
