I found this old, dirty cymbal once in that attic of this music store I teach at. Once I cleaned it up, I could see a stamp that said "PAISTE Standard" with a shooting star logo.

It's from about 1960 or so. It belonged to the owner of the store. I've used it as a crash for about a year. It sounds nothing like other Paiste's I've heard, but it's not like any Zildjian either. Very hi-pitched, a little harsh. I works ok as a ride, but its a medium 18" crash.

Does anyone else have one of these?

most likely an older 602 or stambul. go to www.paiste-only.com its a forum i belong to under the same name, VERY knowledgeable people over there. Paistefanatics for sure.
